Delete Your Poker Ascent Account

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (fastest)

  1. Open the Poker Ascent app and sign in.
  2. Tap the avatar in the top-right corner of the dashboard to open your Profile.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the Profile page.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. Confirm the deletion in the prompt.

Deletion happens immediately. You’ll be signed out and your data will begin permanent removal within minutes.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you’ve uninstalled the app or can’t sign in, email support@pokerascent.com from the address you registered with. Include the subject line “Delete my account”.

We’ll verify your identity (by replying to the email address on file) and then delete the account within 7 business days.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

  • Your email address and authentication credentials
  • Your onboarding profile (stakes, play environment, training preferences)
  • Your drill history (every attempt, answer, and timing)
  • Your XP, streak, level, and all progress records
  • Your push notification tokens (so you’ll stop receiving reminders)
  • Your subscription link (Stripe customer and RevenueCat mapping — note: your payment history is retained by Stripe/Apple/Google per their own legal obligations)

What we’re required to keep

  • Transaction records — payment processors (Stripe, Apple, Google) retain purchase records as required by tax law. We have no control over their retention periods; contact them directly.
  • Anonymized analytics events — event logs stripped of your user ID may persist in aggregated analytics (PostHog) for up to 90 days. These cannot be tied back to you personally.
  • Crash logs — diagnostic stack traces in Sentry are retained for up to 90 days and are not linked to your personal identity.

Active subscriptions

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a paid subscription. If you have an active subscription:

  • iOS: Cancel via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Poker Ascent.
  • Android: Cancel via Google Play → Subscriptions → Poker Ascent.
  • Web (Stripe): Cancel via Profile → Manage Billing before deleting your account.

Cancel first, then delete the account. Otherwise the subscription will auto-renew even though the account is gone.
